Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need tickets for the festival? No. This event, including the performances, KIDS ZONE, and admission are FREE for all!
 

What are the times for the festival? The festival is Saturday, August 10, 2024 with a parade down Bailey Ave starting at 2PM.

 

How do I become a vendor? More information on becoming a vendor at our festival can be found on the Vendor Information page, or by contacting our Festival Chair, Taisha St. Jean at TSTJEAN@BUFFALONY.GOV.
 

What measures are being taken for the kids in the KIDS ZONE? Any child who enters the KIDS ZONE will be required to put a wristband on that will have their parents contact information on it in case of an emergency.
 

Do I have to wear a mask? No. Per the CDC, New York State, Erie County, and City of Buffalo guidelines, since the event is fully outdoors, outdoor activities are safe without masks regardless of whether a person is vaccinated or not. You may choose to wear a mask if you want to. The University United Festival Committee will work closely with the University at Buffalo and City of Buffalo and adhere to any COVID-19 guidelines, if they are to be implemented during the duration of our festival.
 

Is COVID-19 vaccination required for the festival? No. Per New York State, Erie County, and City of Buffalo guidelines, COVID-19 vaccinations are not required for any event, indoors or outdoors. The University United Festival Committee will work closely with the University at Buffalo and City of Buffalo and adhere to any COVID-19 guidelines, if they are to be implemented during the duration of our festival.
 

What items are permitted on festival grounds? You are only allowed to bring lawn chairs to sit and enjoy the music. 
 

What items are NOT permitted on festival grounds? Grills, tents, coolers, beach umbrellas, weapons, and outside food and beverages, including alcohol are NOT allowed on festival grounds.
 

Are dogs allowed? No, dogs are not allowed on festival grounds unless they are service dogs and proper identification is provided.
